The Malta Baseball and Softball Association was well represented at the WBSCE congress. President Andrew Bajo and Public Relations Officer Chris Munz attended the event, where they engaged with other federations, shared best practices, and discussed the future direction of the sports in Europe. The M.B.S.A. is committed to working alongside WBSCE’s new leadership to strengthen the sports’ presence in Malta and beyond.

The congress featured several important discussions, including the future development of Baseball5, the fast paced variant of the sport, and the role of eSports in attracting younger audiences. Additionally, the implementation of anti-doping education and the importance of athlete transfer regulations were key topics that received considerable attention. One of the highlights was the emphasis on Olympic solidarity, with discussions centered on how to ensure fair competition and the growth of the sports within the Olympic framework.
With a renewed leadership team and a focus on key developmental initiatives, the WBSCE Congress 2025 set the stage for an exciting future for baseball and softball across Europe.
