The Brewers clinched a narrow 12-11 win over the Mustangs after a dramatic seven-inning battle. In the first two innings, the Mustangs looked unstoppable, putting up five runs in each of the first two innings.
The relentless Brewers’ offense fought back, scoring five runs in the second inning and four in the fourth, gradually closing the gap. Their heart of the order added two more runs in the fifth to pull ahead. The Mustangs scored their 11th run of the game in the 5th inning to tie the game. Centre fielder Efrain Deyan led their charge, going 3-for-4 with a single, double and triple. Third baseman Daniele Palumbo added a double and a triple, while pitcher Michael Pitzchel contributed two singles and two RBIs.
As the game turned into its closing stages, all tied up, the Brewers rose to the occasion and scored the go-ahead run in the 7th inning. The Brewers’ defense held the Mustangs scoreless in the bottom of the inning to seal another win for the Brewers.
