In the third inning, with two outs, Mellieha put together a decisive 5-run rally. Vincenzo Mazzamuto sparked the offense with a key double, and Klemen Scrabec capped off the inning with an RBI double to left-center, driving in Kevin Gauci. By the end of the third, the Northenders led 9-0.
On the mound and in the field, the Northenders were just as dominant, allowing no runs and holding the Brewers without a baserunner in four separate innings. Their pitching and defense worked together seamlessly to stifle the Brewers’ offense.
The final blow came in the fifth inning when Michael Bartolo doubled to center, followed by an RBI double from Masashi Suzuki to right field, securing the 10-0 victory.
Vincenzo Mazzamuto was the Northenders’ MVP, going 3 for 3 at the plate and making key defensive plays at first base.
