Recap
Coming off a high-scoring first game, the Mustangs and Saints continued where they left off in the second game of the day. The Saints opened the game by scoring 2 runs as Matthew Ellul Sullivan and Joe Debono drove in a run each. The Mustangs scored 5 runs of their own in the bottom of the inning, led by a bases clearing triple from Efrain Dejan.
On the opposite side, the Saints put up a valiant effort thanks in part to Sullivan’s perfect 3 for 3 performance and Jason Ward’s 3-for-4 outing which included an extra base hit. Defensive plays by outfielder Efrain Dejan of Mustangs kept the Saints’ offense at bay, earning him the MVP of the game.
After today’s sweep, the Mustangs hold their solid 3rd place position in the standings and are now a game closer to 2nd place.
