MVP honors in Game 2 went to Klemen Škrabec of the Northenders, who showcased impeccable pitching skills that disallowed the Mustangs any major breakthroughs. Škrabec’s presence on the mound and at the plate was a game-changer for the Northenders.
Kevin Spiteri of the Mustangs went 2 for 3 at the plate, including a powerful home run in the bottom of the third inning. Michael Bartolo added to the excitement with a two-run homer in the top of the 5th, extending the Northenders’ lead.
Northenders Masashi Suzuki was also crucial to the Northenders defense with outstanding plays in the field. In the bottom of the 6th inning, the Mustangs had a glimmer of hope with runners on the corners and no outs. However, a crucial out followed by a game-ending double play executed by the Northenders sealed the deal, securing their victory in Game 2.
